It's so important, because what we believe informs how we live. The last two weeks we've talked about lies we believe about God. This week: lies we believe about **ourselves**. --- # Blue Sunday **April 26** As we approach **Blue Sunday**, we invite our church family to join in prayer for children who have experienced abuse and neglect. Prayer is powerful—but for those who feel called to do more, there are meaningful ways to become part of the solution. Consider serving with one of these local organizations that work directly with vulnerable children and families: 1. **121 Family** – Supports foster, adoptive, and kinship families through mentorship, resources, and community. 2. **CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates)** – Volunteers advocate in court for children in foster care to help ensure they have safe, permanent homes. 3. **4Kids** – Provides support services for foster and adoptive families, helping children find stability and belonging. 4. **New Life Children’s Center** – A residential program in Canyon Lake that provides healing and care for girls who have experienced trauma and exploitation. \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ We'll be taking time during our service to pray for foster kids in our community and the families that have helped rescue them. If you're a foster/adopt family and would like to be included in this part of our service, [please let Larry know](mailto:pastorlarry@homechurchtx.com)! --- ![](https://churchusercontent.com/api/image-proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Fauth.churchspace.co%2Fstorage%2Fv1%2Fobject%2Fpublic%2Forganization-assets%2F17ca71cf-23db-4bdc-ad50-5b0fb03eea42%2FFB_Post_22_2026-04-22T18-04-27-076Z.png) # Baptism Sunday— **THIS Sunday!** If you would like to be baptized or if you would just like some more information about baptism and what it means, please [**call**](tel:+18302285654) or [**email Dahlia**](mailto:admin@homechurchtx.com) and we will get you scheduled to meet with one of our Pastors! --- [![](https://churchusercontent.com/api/image-proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Fauth.churchspace.co%2Fstorage%2Fv1%2Fobject%2Fpublic%2Forganization-assets%2F17ca71cf-23db-4bdc-ad50-5b0fb03eea42%2Fpco-imports%2F2026-04-16T01-41-34-789Z-606fed80-674b-4d09-9a34-96c0c8f4fa6f.jpg)](https://homechurchtx.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/3547411) # 50+ Cookout ### **May 8, 2026 at 6:00 PM** Join us for a fun-filled evening of great food, games, and prizes! Are you looking for a great way to serve the kingdom by volunteering at HomeChurch behind-the-scenes? Could you spend an hour or so at the church every other Saturday? Are you detail oriented? Able to do fairly physical work? We have a team that may be perfect for you - setting up, lining up the chairs for service on Sunday. Each week we use our sanctuary for lots of different things. Each one calls for a certain set up. So our team comes in on Saturday and RE-SETS for Sunday. Want to know more?
