This Sunday

We all want to be more like Jesus—more loving, more generous, more compassionate. But what happens when an opportunity to love someone interrupts our carefully planned day? Jesus was incredibly intentional about his mission, but he was also willing to stop for people along the way. This Sunday, as we continue our practice of Serving, we'll explore what it looks like to become people who are both intentional AND interruptible—and how practicing compassion actually changes who we're becoming.

Also— Don't forget Daylight Saving Time ends this weekend!
You get an extra hour of sleep this Sunday!

An Update on GROW:

We're now 18 months into our two-year GROW Initiative! God has been doing some incredible things in and through Home Church, and we're excited to share this update with you!

We have a quick five-minute video to share where we are, what we've accomplished, and what's ahead as we continue to GROW together.

Watch the Update Here

Outreach — Children's Hunger Fund

November 7 | 9am

Join our Home Church family for two hours of hands-on service at Children’s Hunger Fund! Together, we’ll help prepare food and other resources that equip churches to bring help and hope to children and families in need.

All ages are welcome, making this a great opportunity to serve together as a family. We have room for up to 60 volunteers, so register everyone who will be joining you—including children!

Volunteer Opportunities

Safety & Medical Team

We’re seeking volunteers to join our Home Church Safety Team, particularly those with backgrounds in law enforcement, military service, corporate security, executive protection, fire service, or emergency medical care. Individuals with leadership and extensive incident command experience are especially encouraged to connect with us.

If you have a heart to serve in helping keep our church family safe, contact us to learn more.

A Helping Hand

One of our church members —who lives near Lake Dunlap in New Braunfels— is looking for a little help getting to church. Because of a visual disability, he isn’t able to drive himself. If you think you might be able to help, please let Dahlia know.

You don’t have to commit every week—even an occasional ride would be appreciated!

Host Families Needed - Children's Heart Project

Samaritan's Purse is looking for host families to welcome children traveling from Mongolia for life-saving heart surgery—one on November 2 and another on November 6.

Each child will be traveling with a parent and an interpreter, and they need a loving home to stay in for about a month. We know that's a big ask, but what an incredible opportunity to show the love of Jesus to a family during a life-changing journey.

If you have the space and the heart to help, please reach out to Lauren to get more info.

One Another

New Group - Starting November 5

One Another is a safe, confidential support group for those living with chronic illness, terminal illness, chronic pain, visible or invisible disabilities, and unseen diseases—as well as the caregivers and loved ones walking alongside them.

If you're looking for a place where your story is welcomed, your struggles are respected, and you don't have to pretend you're okay, there's a place for you here.

Surviving the Holidays

Surviving the Holidays is a good way of coming together and discussing dealing with grief during the Holiday season. But the goal isn’t simply to survive the holidays. Even in the middle of grief, there can still be room for meaningful memories, moments of peace, and even joy.
This is a one-time class with two dates for you to choose from:
November 9 at 6pm

November 12 at 11am

You do not need to be part of our ongoing Grief Share Group to attend.
