This Sunday
Reading the Bible is a huge part of the Christian life. It is literally FROM God and FOR us. It is full of amazing encouragement, and teaching and instruction and beauty.
It's also got some pretty weird stuff, strange stories and lots of parts that just don't seem to apply to our lives. How SHOULD we read the Bible - especially the parts that don't seem to have anything to do with our lives now? What if there were a way to read the Bible to find out what God is really trying to say to YOU - about YOUR life?

Celebration of Life
Jan Severance
This Saturday, August 29th at 11am, Home Church will host a service to celebrate the lives of one of our church members, Jan Severance. If you knew Jan — or simply want to show your love and support for her husband Scott — we'd love if you'd come and celebrate her life with us!
Night of Worship
Saturday, August 29 | 5pm-6pm
Join us for a special Night of Worship THIS SATURDAY!
After spending the last several weeks talking about worship, we want to set aside this hour to simply focus on God and worship Him together.
Come ready to make space for God to move, to honor Him, and to offer Him our worship!

One Body Serving Together
August 29 | 10am
Join us this Saturday for a meaningful day together in downtown San Antonio as we come together to serve and encourage those in need. This is an opportunity to share kindness, provide a meal and be a blessing to members of our community who could use a helping hand.
Children are absolutely welcome—bring the whole family!
Outreach Updates
On Sunday, Ryan shared an update on the incredible work our Outreach Team completed at New Life Children’s Center—from renovating their space to hosting Christmas in July for the girls who live there. We’re grateful for everyone who helped make these projects possible!

Student Ministry Updates
Also on Sunday, Mike introduced the phenomenal interim leadership teams who will continue creating meaningful opportunities for our Middle and High School students to connect, grow, and follow Jesus! We’re excited about what God is doing in this next season of Student Ministry at Home Church! (And you should be too!)
We also ask that you join us in praying for these teams and for God’s direction as we search for our next full-time Student Ministry leader.
Separately, as part of our ongoing commitment to student safety and clear communication, we’ve introduced a new team-based texting platform for parents and students. These are not group-text threads—messages are delivered directly to you, and your replies connect you with our Student Ministry team rather than one individual.

A flexible Bible study for busy women to grow in faith, find encouragement, and build meaningful community! Starting with a study called Perfectly Flawed, our goal is to see how God meets us in the middle of our imperfect, busy lives.
Side by Side
2nd & 4th Thursdays - Starting September 10
This group is a Christ-centered support group to encourage those caring for neurodivergent older teens and young adults.
We want to walk beside one another through the joys, challenges, uncertainties and transitions of this season of life-sharing wisdom, offering encouragement, praying for one another, and reminding each other that we aren't meant to walk this journey alone.
Craving Connections
Every Other Tuesday - Starting September 15
Looking for meaningful connections with others who share your life stage and interests? Our small group is for active, DIY-minded adults—whether you’re married without kids or an empty nester.
Together, we’ll explore a variety of topics through the lens of God’s Word, using RightNow Media. Hosted in a welcoming home with two small dogs, we offer a space for laughter, learning, and lasting friendships!
If you value fellowship, community, and personal growth, we’d love for you to join us on this journey. Let’s do life together!

Our Kids Choir is starting back up on Wednesday, September 9th!
They'll be meeting from 6:30p - 8:00p (during Men’s/Women's Bible Studies & InsideOut)!

Giving on the Church App
You can give on the church app! From the home page, simply scroll all the way to the bottom of the page where you’ll see an image like the one above. Click the image and follow the steps below to set up a one time or recurring donation:
1. Add the amount you would like to donate (then click “next”).
2. Choose which fund you’d like to give to.
3. Select how often - One Time, Weekly, Monthly, etc.
- If you choose to give on a regular basis, you’ll be able to pick the day/dates the recurring donation is made.
4. Add a payment method.
5. You can see the processing fee and choose if you want to cover it or not.
- If you choose to cover the fee, you will be credited on year-end statements.
Important info
If you would would like MORE of your money going toward Home Church and the missions we support, and LESS towards fees - Here’s some info that will help:
When selecting a payment method…
A debit or credit card - it will be $0.30 plus 2.15% of the donation.
However, if you choose to add your bank account, the fee is only $0.30 - regardless of the amount you donate.
