This week we'll look specifically at singing and corporate worship. There are LOTS of ways to worship besides singing together (more on that next week), but there is *something* about **singing together.** What is it? Why is singing our worship so special? What's the big deal about singing *together*? Plus, with all our different church traditions and preferences - how should we navigate the diversity of music genres, and worship styles? Let's talk about worship - and let's DO IT together - this week at Home Church! --- ![](https://churchusercontent.com/17ca71cf-23db-4bdc-ad50-5b0fb03eea42/FB_Post_22_2026-04-22T18-04-27-076Z.png) # Baptism Sunday! Our next Baptism Sunday will be this Sunday, **August 9th**! If you're ready to take this next step in your faith, or if you have questions about baptisms, please [contact Dahlia](mailto:admin@homechurchtx.com) and she'll be happy to get connected with one of our pastors! --- **Why should Christians vote?** We pray everyday for God's kingdom to fully come. For Jesus to return, and for the glory of God's spirit - his presence - to cover the whole earth "as the waters cover the seas". But, as the body of Christ, we are not passive. We are not just sitting and waiting. We are called to continue Jesus' work, by the power of his spirit. That work is announcing and initiating the coming of his kingdom. We do that largely by sharing "samples" of His Kingdom (like love, peace, joy, healing, justice, peace and freedom) with the world around us. One way we can share those samples is by being active in our government, *especially by voting.* Every Christian should look at the bible, and the life of Jesus; and listen to His spirit in them - and vote for the party, candidate or initiative that they feel best reflects the character of God, and the values of his kingdom. **If you are not registered to vote** - we will have a table for voter registration on the front porch with people that will help you through the process of making sure you're registered. --- [![](https://churchusercontent.com/17ca71cf-23db-4bdc-ad50-5b0fb03eea42/pco-imports/2026-07-23T04-59-42-026Z-753acef6-4dec-4f4f-bfbb-9d87c8cbe5bf.jpg)](https://homechurchtx.churchcenter.com/groups/espanol/rios-de-agua-viva) # **Spanish Group** Did you know that Home Church has a Spanish-speaking Group?
